Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing various aspects of the company's operations in Nepal, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, business development, and team leadership. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent organizational skills, a strong understanding of Nepalese legal and business environments, and the ability to drive strategic growth.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance & Government Relations:

Application of trademark at the Department of Industry.
Application for official permission or food license at the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC).
Drafting sales reports and submitting them to the concerned government organizations on a periodic basis.
Application of branch approval, tax clearance, and performing works related to taxation at the Inland Revenue Office.
Updating the company at the Office of Company Registrar (OCR) and performing the work related to OCR.
Visiting concerned government offices whenever required and submitting petitions or replies as needed.
Ensuring all company operations comply with local laws and regulations.
Representing the company in meetings with government and regulatory authorities, advocating for favorable policies and practices.
Maintaining high standards of corporate governance and ethical conduct.

2. Leadership and Strategy:

Leading and managing Nepal operations, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategy and objectives.
Developing and implementing strategic plans to drive growth and achieve targets in the Nepal market.
Providing visionary leadership to the team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.

3. Business Development:

Identifying and capitalizing on new business opportunities to expand the company's footprint in Nepal.
Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders, including distributors, partners, and regulatory bodies.
Monitoring market trends and competitor activities, adjusting strategies to maintain competitive advantage.

4. Sales and Marketing:

Overseeing the development and execution of effective sales and marketing campaigns to drive product awareness and sales.
Setting sales targets and KPIs, regularly reviewing performance and implementing corrective actions as needed.
Collaborating with the marketing team to create and execute promotional activities and events.

5. Operations Management:

Ensuring efficient and effective operations in all areas, including supply chain, logistics, and customer service.
Implementing and monitoring operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and compliance.
Overseeing the recruitment, training, and development of the Nepal team, ensuring a high-performing workforce.
Coordinating and cooperating with branches and various sections of the office to perform work smoothly and handle grievances for hassle-free service delivery.

6. Financial Management:

Managing the country's budget, ensuring financial targets are met and resources are utilized efficiently.
Preparing regular financial and operational reports for senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
Ensuring compliance with all financial and regulatory requirements.

7. Reporting and Communication:

Monitoring the works of the office and reporting to the Chairman or Director.
Maintaining open and transparent communication with all the sections of the office, branches and the supplier.
Providing timely and accurate information to board members to support decision-making processes.
Executing tasks as directed by the Chairman, Director or other higher authorities as per the law.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business Administration, Law, Management, or a related field.
Proven experience (5 years or above) in a managerial role, preferably in the Nepalese market.
Strong understanding of Nepalese legal, regulatory, and business environments.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in drafting reports and engaging with government bodies.
Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
Proficiency in relevant software and tools

Salary: NRP. 50,000 and is Negotiable, commensurate based on candidates experience and skills
