  • Gather information, understand the scope of computer problems and develop an action plan to solve the problems. Listen carefully to clients, convince them logically and provide professional advice by internalizing the concept of “CLIENT FIRST”.
  • Interact with clients and staff at the technical level, regarding new technology, as required.

  • Prioritizing and dealing with the issues in a timely manner. Ensuring that the fault is completely rectified and ensuring that it does not appear in the future.

  • Prepare a performance report of the support team.
  • Report to Technical Manager on daily performed duties, share experiences, lesson learned and plan for upcoming assignments.

Job Description

  • Manage servers with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 – 2019 R2 operating systems and manage active directory, server and workstation patching.
  • Should have a familiarity with windows clustering, domain controller setup, and group policy & ensure the security of the server infrastructure of the clientele organizations with regards to its privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage end-user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocations. Develop and maintain documentation about the current environment setup and standard operating procedures accordingly. 
  • Monitors SERVER system performance and its security.
  • Monitors and analyzes SERVER systems resource utilization and performance to determine and resolve potential issues and ensures services are delivered efficiently.
  • Design and implement major networks.
  • Configures, installs, processes of deployment and maintains the Client’s network infrastructure and related systems, including routers; switches; firewalls; wireless access controllers. Good Knowledge of wired and wireless LAN/WAN setup
  • Monitors network performance and utilization trends to assure maximum network uptime; Identifies troubleshoots; resolves issues relating to network outages and performance and makes recommendations for upgrades or improvements.
  • Recommends, develops, implements, and maintains network security standards and performs administration tasks for various layers of network security levels.
  • Monitors the performance and stability of multiple hardware and software platforms at the most complex level to maximize network resource throughput. 
  • Internet and network security, firewalls, proxy servers, digital rights, and virtual private network (VPN).
  • Monitor routers, hubs, switches and other important network resources.
  • Develop and maintain network operational procedures, records, documents and drawings.
  • Review performance reports; develop long-range plans for ensuring appropriate network capacities. 
  • Perform and test routine system backups and restores. 
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers, and workstations.
  • Manage Server & Network asset management, including maintenance of server component inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform software and hardware upgrades, patches and reconfigurations. Maintain every log report accordingly.
  • Manage proper coordination with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure services procured by the clients.
  • Manage the physical environment of the server racks including cable management, documentation, labelling, and configuration of switching for console and remote access.
  • Build and deploy new servers on the network as needed. Have familiarity with NAS and SAN storage management.
  • Plan, organize and manage technical team staff and overall operations to ensure the stable operation of the system of the clientele organization. This includes developing, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing key functional areas; particularly network infrastructure, server infrastructure and data communications. 
  • Supervise the entire Help Desk and Technical Support staff and ensure that end users are receiving the appropriate assistance. The Manager will also schedule and direct activities to resolve hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Assist with hardware, firewall, and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations Mentor/cross-train team members on existing and new technologies.
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of Cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Serves as a technical advisor in the installation and maintenance of Servers & Networks; researches and evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations.
  • Act as a primary technical focal person on behalf of Plus Multisystem to provide network technical expertise to implement various network-related projects. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Solid understanding of remote desktop support applications like Teamviewer, Anydesk and others.
