Prayatna Nepal is a civil society organization established by the groups of women with and without visual disabilities. There are seven dedicated women in the board where majority (71%) of board members of the organization are women with visual disabilities. It visions an inclusive society where women and girls with visual disabilities are equally respected and enjoy equal social, cultural and economic rights.

The organization mainly focuses on the issues related to gender-based violence, discrimination based on disability, capacity building and economic empowerment of women and girls with visual disability. It aims to improve their living standards, strengthen the income generating skills, leadership development, training on fight back skills to avoid the sexual violence, digital right, disaster risk management and also advocating on equal social, economic, cultural and political participation.

Nature: Entry level/Full Time

Qualification and experience

  • Intermediate (+2 degree) with one year experience, or 
  • Fresher Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies and/relevant subject.

Professional Skills:

  • Gender and Disability sensitive;
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills;
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Nepali required.
  • Proficiency computer skills like Microsoft Word & Excel.
  • Proficiency in Nepali typing.
  • Ability to work with teams and collaborate with executive board and staff at all levels;

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out functions related to day-to-day office management and administration
  • Update incoming/outgoing letter register, Visitor Log Book etc.
  • Maintain proper filing system of all record.
  • Perform photocopying / printing/ scanning as required
  • Assets coding, transfer, and record keeping along with bi-annual physical verification.
  • Update of leave records along with leave request.
  • Supervise in office cleaning, repair and maintenance of equipment.
  • Assist program coordinator finance officer and executive board member as per requirements.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned
  • Provide administrative support in areas such as procurement, contract maintenance, records management, etc.
  • Support project-related tasks as and when required
  • Support executive committee in administrative documentation
