Project: Japanese Client Projects

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Mid-Level Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work on innovative projects for our clients in Japan, contributing to the development of high-performance web applications using Node.js. If you are passionate about building scalable applications and have a keen interest in working on international projects, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js.
Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers, to deliver high-quality solutions.
Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and other Agile ceremonies.
Have the opportunity to travel to Japan for client meetings or project-related travel as needed.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

1-2+ years of experience working with Node.js in a professional environment.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
Hands-on experience with RESTful API design and development.
Familiarity with databases (SQL, NoSQL like MongoDB).
Experience with version control tools (Git).
Knowledge of modern web development best practices and coding standards.
Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Good understanding of performance optimization techniques.
Knowledge of Japanese culture and language (basic conversational skills) is a plus, though not required.
Strong communication skills in English; ability to work effectively in a global team.
Experience working with APIs, particularly third-party APIs such as Zomato API and Stripe API, is a plus.
Socket-related knowledge, particularly WebSockets or Socket.IO, for building real-time features is highly preferred.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Express.js, Nest.js, or other Node.js frameworks.
Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.

Salary: NPR 35,000 – NPR 50,000 per month (based on experience)
