Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Country Manager – Nepal is responsible for overall in-country operations of the Company’s remittance business, including team management, regulatory compliance, operational performance, and partner oversight. The role acts as the senior representative in Nepal and primary liaison with regulators, banks, and partners.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage all daily remittance operations in Nepal
Recruit, train, and manage operations, compliance, and support staff
Ensure full compliance with Nepal Rastra Bank regulations and AML/CFT requirements
Act as primary point of contact with regulators, banks, auditors, and partners
Oversee agent onboarding, monitoring, and performance management
Maintain operational controls, reconciliations, and settlement processes
Manage incidents, escalations, and customer complaints
Ensure staff receive regular compliance and operational training
Support business expansion from an operational and compliance perspective

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Required Age:More than 28 years

Requirements

Proven experience managing operations teams in Nepal
Experience in team management
Strong leadership and communication skills
Fluent in English and Nepali

Desirable

Experience in remittance, payments, banking, or financial services
Japanese Language Ability
