Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Mortgage Broker Assistant / Data Entry Operator with experience in the Australian mortgage, banking, or financial services industry. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in supporting our mortgage operations by ensuring accurate data entry, application preparation, and compliance with Australian regulatory requirements. This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable handling high volumes of sensitive financial data, understands mortgage documentation, and values precision and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

High-Volume Data Entry

Accurately enter and update client financial information, loan details, and supporting documents into the company CRM and lender systems
Maintain data accuracy, consistency, and confidentiality at all times

Loan Application Preparation

Assist in preparing, reviewing, and packaging complete loan application files for submission to lenders
Organize supporting documents such as income statements, bank statements, identification, and compliance forms

Compliance & Quality Checks

Conduct initial compliance checks on loan files
Ensure documentation and processes align with the National Consumer Credit Protection (NCCP) Act and internal compliance policies
Identify missing or incorrect information and follow up for resolution

Administrative Support

Support mortgage brokers and processing teams with day-to-day operational tasks
Maintain orderly digital records and ensure timely updates to applications

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

1–2 years of proven experience in the Australian mortgage broking, banking, or financial services industry
Familiarity with Australian home loan products, mortgage documentation, and lender requirements
Experience working with CRM systems and financial data entry
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Understanding of NCCP compliance requirements (highly desirable)
