Job Title: Monitoring Evaluation Coordinator
Fixed Term Contract from May 1, 2021 - July 2022 (Probable Extension)
Reports to: Monitoring Evaluation Manager

About Teach For Nepal: 

Teach For Nepal currently has 134 outstanding university graduates as Fellows teaching in public and government schools in seven districts. By our eight year of engagement in the community we have impacted almost 30,000 plus children.

Job Purpose: 

To collect different types of data, analyze, document, and present when necessary. Data can be either in the qualitative or the quantitative form or both. Primary data include academic results and survey data of students from TFN placement schools.

Key Responsibilities: 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: 

Data works (35%): 

  • Collect and document academic and non-academic data from TFN fellows and follow up if necessary. 
  • Perform data analysis and prepare summaries. 

Documentation (30%): 

  • Prepare reports/presentations as necessary and forward relevant data to other team members when asked for. 
  • Create Evaluation frameworks for internal research and knowledge generation. ○ Create SOPs for different evaluation purposes. 
  • Design and assess surveys for the evaluation of various TFN events. 

Database works (35%): 

  • Maintain the online database for fellows and students in Google Drive and Salesforce. 

Collaboration to achieve vision: 

  • TSI team 
  • RSM team 
  • Alumni Affairs 
  • Community Affairs 
  • Admin 
  • Communication

Competencies 

  • Demonstration of TFN’s core values and understanding of TFN’s mission and Theory of Change
  • Prior knowledge and experience creating a Logframe/Results based framework is desirable. 
  • Prior experience on any data analysis tools (SPSS, STATA, R, Python) is not required but can be an advantage. 
  • Any prior knowledge on database management is a plus. 
  • Has a strong desire to learn through inter-team collaborations. 
  • Be able to work under multiple deadlines. 
  • Capable of doing independent research and readings for individual growth and learning. 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field with 3 years of experience preferably in social/development field or Master’s degree in social/development studies. 
  • Good prior experience in using MS office (especially MS Excel). 
  • Familiar with Google drive, Google Docs, and Google sheets. 
  • Ability to create work time-line and complete tasks within deadlines. 
Location: Kathmandu based with few visits in placement communities for organization-led events and data collection occasionally as required in order to deepen the understanding of TFN and its work
