Caritas Nepal, a leading national NGO, invites applications from qualified Nepali citizens for Caritas Nepal Head Office and Field Office. The contract will be for Initially 1 year with possibility of further extension.

Reports to: Project Coordinator and General Program Manager

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Social Science, Sociology, Economics, Rural Development, Public Health, Public Administration or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree or 2 years of experience with Master’s Degree in result based management, monitoring and evaluation, research methodologies and or development sector and humanitarian sector. 
  • Familiar with data analysis, M&E tools and techniques.
  • Ability to work with multi-cultural team of volunteers, national and international staff.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills.
  • Fluency in written and spoken of English and Nepali is required.
  • Local residence will be given more preference.
  • Skill of computer application word, excel, power point etc. 
  • Ability and willingness to frequent field visit in the project area.
  • Experience in representation and interaction with donors, government officials.
  • Must be comfortable in being a pro-active member of the senior management team.
  • Must be a professional who seeks to identify and communicate potential problems and alternative options.
  • Must be able to function effectively in a complex work environment that is constantly and rapidly changing as a result of transitional phase.

Job Description:

  • Prepare Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for overall program to ensure cost efficiency, time management and quality control of the activities performed for Resilient Community Health Project in consultation with Project Coordinator.  
  • Prepare daily, weekly monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual monitoring and evaluation planning, progress, monitoring and evaluation report to track the past progress and future challenges for Resilient Community Health Project for overall program in consultation with Project Coordinator.  
  • Support the project team in conducting comprehensive planning and progress review workshops in consultation at various levels ( District, and Village). 
  • Help sectoral teams to prepare necessary sectoral planning and M&E guidelines.  
  • Plan and coordinate with concerned sectors team members, project coordinator for effective monitoring, feedback and evaluation of the program to contribute towards programme outcomes. 
  • Provide technical guidance regarding M&E to sector teams as advised by Project Coordinator and Program Manager.  Guide sector teams to improve sectoral progress and achievement reviews and reporting.  
  • Provide necessary recommendation reports for Project Coordinator based upon progress review, baseline survey, household survey, Caritas Nepal and Government of Nepal policies.  
  • Ensure sound budgeting and effective use of programme funds. 
  • Be responsible for managing the Monitoring and Evaluation related programme budget through regular monitoring of expenditure against budget. 
  • Support Project Coordinator to develop a clear expenditure plan to ensure that the programme is being implemented within the agreed/approved budget. 
  • Ensure that necessary supplies are requested in a timely manner from procurement/ logistics department; that all necessary procedures are adhered to; and that resources are correctly stored/ distributed/ utilized and accounted for.
