Role Purpose
The MEAL Officer supports the implementation of MEAL systems and reporting in project intervention districts. S/he works with MEAL and program team to ensure the smooth functioning of the MEAL system in the six project districts in coordination with partner NGOs including providing technical support to partner NGO MEAL staff; conducting monthly quality monitoring in line with Quality Benchmarks (QB) and mentoring partner NGOs’ MEAL team in the area of MEAL approach. The position holder will support the Senior MEAL Manager on external base line survey, formative & operational research, management/execution of periodic reviews & evaluations, preparation of MEAL monthly/quarterly report and review of program periodic reports. S/he will also make sure the accountability complaint and feedback mechanisms are functioning well and keep good coordination & collaboration with all program team and partner NGOs on MEAL requirements.
Term and Location: Fixed term position based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Development Studies, Statistics, M&E or related Social Sciences with minimum 3 years of work experience in M&E systems for development and humanitarian projects/programs
