Roles and responsibilities of this job
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to join our team. This role plays a key part in managing payroll operations while supporting overall financial processes. The ideal candidate will ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of payroll and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management & Processing
Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees
Ensure accurate calculation of salaries, deductions, bonuses, and overtime
Maintain payroll records and ensure timely salary disbursements
Handle statutory deductions (tax, SSF, etc.) in compliance with Nepal regulations
Compliance & Reporting
Ensure payroll processes comply with Nepal labor laws and tax requirements
Prepare and submit statutory filings and reports on time
Support internal and external audits related to payroll and finance
Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee data
Accounts & Financial Support
Maintain general ledger and financial records
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
Support budgeting and forecasting related to payroll
Employee Support & Coordination
Act as the point of contact for payroll-related queries
Coordinate with HR on onboarding, exits, and payroll changes
Maintain accurate records of leave, attendance, and benefits
Process Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in payroll processes
Support payroll system enhancements and automation initiatives
