HIMS Nepal is a faith based organization of beneficiaries established in 2005 from community initiative for over development of locals. The organization is established from community people hence it has always emphasizes on inclusion of diverse people. Most of the staff of the organization is from ethnic background along with representative from Dalit and Women. Staffs are recruited through fair and transparent organization procedure; priority is given local people, women and people from marginalized community. As most of staffs and volunteers are from same community hence we had very good understanding of community dimensions. Staffs are responsible for carrying out organizational work along with assess the needs of community people. They also develop helping relationship with beneficiaries. It is very challenging for new organization to carryout programs in these communities as it is difficult to develop professional relationship. In contrast HIMS is established organization with most of its board and General assembly members from same communities.

Job Description

Development of relevant M&E tools and platforms

  • Assist in the planning and management of M&E plans, including defining data collection tools, log frames, results and frameworks
  • Contribute to the development of a M&E plan that specifies baselines, output, outcome and impact indicators, annual targets, and data sources
  • Develop and consolidation M&E data collection and analysis systems to ensure that program interventions are effective
  • Suggest strategies to senior staff for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the project by identifying bottlenecks in completing project activities and developing plans to minimize or eliminate such bottlenecks
  • Provide technical support on M&E and evidence-based recommendations
  • Collection of case stories, success stories and disseminate among team and partner
  • Any other duties, as assigned by Program Manager

Management of M&E Data and Reporting:

  • Manage data collection, data entry, and reporting responsibilities for M&E data
  • Ensure that all reporting requirements, including monthly reports as outlined in program documents , is submitted on time from the field and provided to all relevant stakeholders in a timely manner
  • Provide regular reporting on leadership and submit written reports upon request
  • Working strengthen availability and use of high quality data for decision making at all levels of the project
  • Support program staff and senior management to use data to make informed and timely decisions related to program implementation
  • Any other duties, as assigned

Support and Capacity Building:

  • Provide support to staff members, including field staff, on M&E requirements to ensure high quality data collection and reporting
  • Provide M&E specific technical training, mentoring, and coaching to local partners
  • Coordinate regularly with field staff to ensure M&E requirements are understand, completed, and submitted in a timely manner

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelors degree in related field, with practical experience in database management.
  • At least 2 years of experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Sound knowledge and experience in M&E within the social sector
  • High competence using standard office software systems including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation platforms (PowerPoint)
  • A high level of personal integrity, efficiency, and ability to balance multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Willingness to work outside of traditional working hours when necessary
  • Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Fluency in English and Nepali

Job Duration: Initially for 1.5 year with possibility of extension
Reports To: Program manager

Salary: As per organization rule
