  • Must have qualified as Health Assistant/ Staff Nurse (PCL level) as a minimum.
  • Must be registered with Nepal Health Professional Council or Nepal Nursing Council 
  •  At least three years' experience in GoN/ Private hospitals/ Health Posts/ Primary Healthcare centres
  • Sound knowledge and skills in basic medicine and pharmacology
  • Good written communication skills in English and Nepali
  • Native speaker level in Nepali
  • Must be computer literate
  • Working knowledge and application of relevant Country legislation governing medical practice

Job Description

The Mobile Health Practitioner (MHP) is responsible for the management of the basic clinic facilities in the rural AWCs and home visits to pensioners within the Area of Responsibility (AoR) of the AWCs. 

  • They will particularly visit vulnerable pensioners identified from each AWC and provide comprehensive assessments and primary care treatment. 
  • The MHP must be able to work clinically and effectively with both medical and non-medical staff and to train home carers, and to use the medical equipment provided. 
  • He/she must have the ability to analyze the situation and take appropriate decision during home visit within GWT(N) policies, being able to work independently and as part of a team, paying careful attention to detail and managing multiple tasks. 
  • MHPs are considered field staff and are required to do lots of home visits for providing medical support to our vulnerable patients.
