Job Description

The Medical Sales Officer is responsible for promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists. This role involves developing strong relationships with healthcare providers, understanding their needs, and providing them with the information they need to make informed decisions about the use of pharmaceutical products. The Medical Representative plays a critical role in driving sales growth and achieving company targets within their assigned territory.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Promotion:

  • Promote and sell the company's pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals in hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
  • Educate healthcare providers about the benefits, features, and proper use of the products.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare staff.
  • Provide samples, literature, and promotional materials to healthcare professionals.

Relationship Building:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), doctors, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Regularly visit healthcare facilities to keep them updated on new products, promotions, and relevant medical information.
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing timely and accurate information about products and therapeutic areas.

Sales Achievement:

  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives set by the company.
  • Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales strategies accordingly.

Territory Management:

  • Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly schedules to maximize coverage of assigned territory.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market conditions, and customer needs.

Training and Development:

  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, medical research, and industry developments.
  • Attend training sessions, conferences, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Share best practices and insights with colleagues to contribute to the team's overall success.
