Medical Laboratory Technologist – Hospitals

Key Responsibilities

  • Sample collection for laboratory test: Especially HIV viral load, HIV testing and basic laboratory investigation for people living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Separation and storage of HIV viral load sample.
  • Performing HIV viral load testing and reporting.
  • Recording of HIV test results.
  • Monthly reporting to the concerned authority.
  • Co-ordination with antiretroviral therapy (ART) centers and sample collection sites.
  • Perform other laboratory tasks as determined by the laboratory in charge at the HIV viral load testing laboratory.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology,
  • Registration in Nepal Health Professional Council is mandatory,
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills.
