Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Manager to lead and oversee the day-to-day operations of our cooperative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for strategic planning, member services, compliance, financial management, and team supervision, ensuring the overall growth and sustainability of the cooperative.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations of the cooperative, ensuring smooth service delivery to members
Develop and implement strategic plans aligned with cooperative goals
Manage and supervise staff, including performance evaluations and training
Monitor and ensure financial health, including budgeting, cash flow, loan recovery, and reporting
Ensure compliance with regulatory policies and maintain proper documentation
Promote new member recruitment and enhance member engagement
Develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions and other stakeholders
Prepare and present periodic reports to the board of directors
Lead internal audits and manage risk assessments
Implement digital systems and tools to improve operational efficiency

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in cooperative management, banking, or financial services
Strong knowledge of cooperative laws, accounting principles, and financial reporting
Leadership and team management experience
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in MS Office and basic accounting/financial software
Integrity, adaptability, and a strong sense of member service

Preferred:

Prior experience in a savings and credit cooperative (SACCOS) or microfinance institution
Fluency in both English and Nepali
