Job Description

A well-run children’s home in Kathmandu, Boudha, is looking for a qualified and experienced Children’s Residential Care Worker (m). We offer around 60 children/teenagers protection and security in a lovingly atmosphere.

Job description:

You like to work with a mixed-age group of children / teenagers between the age of 5 and 22. You understand the children’s needs and how to accompany them in a caring and holistic manner. You are characterized by your joy and patience in dealing with children. You are committed, open and resilient. In addition, you keep a cool head and a good sense of humor even in hectic situations. You are used to work independently.

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent in Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Teaching
  • At least 5 years work experience with children, ideally with children from disadvantaged background

Profile:

  • Prepared to live in the Children’s Home for 6 days a week 
  • High sense of responsibility
  • Enjoying to share the daily life with children
  • Open ear for children’s concern
  • Caring personality
  • Trustworthy, attentive, safety-conscious
  • Enthusiastic, flexible, creative
  • Good written and spoken English and Nepalese
  • Basic knowledge of First Aid
  • Above 35 years of age
  • Preferable Single person

  • Monitor, guide and take care of the children’s well-being during their daily routine
  • Provide a safe and structured learning environment
  • Supervise and assist them in their daily studies
  • Plan and conduct activities as per the need of the children
