Job Description

Job Location: WVI – NER HQ, Lalitpur

Work Purpose: To lead and manage WVI-NER Logistics Activities in order to achieve the project impact and goal as per approved program design and donor compliance.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably Master’s) in Management/Social Science/Natural Resource/Rural Development/Civil Engineering or related subject from recognized university with at least seven years practical experience of Projects/Logistics Management in a humanitarian emergency context. 
  • Demonstrated depth of experience and effectiveness preferably in an I/NGO context in working with community/grassroots people and organizations, specially focus on Logistics and Transport, Project Management  
  • Extensive experience and recognized expertise in models and methods of training, facilitation and capacity building, Project Management and organizational development for staffs, communities and 
  • Good understanding and experience about Nepal Government’s strategies, policies, guidelines, plans about Logistics Management
  • Demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently and cooperatively with team members in a cross-cultural environment
  • Demonstrates cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible worldview, emotional maturity and physical stamina
  • Ability to live and work in difficult remote areas and travel extensively.  
  • Excellent English & Nepali communication skills (oral and written)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications including use of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable people
  • Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent
