Logistics Coordinator - 1 position

Purpose: The position holder will be responsible to coordinate and implement the Procurement, Logistics and Administrative supports in compliance with Plan International Nepal’s policies and procedures for smooth functioning the programme operations in Jumla Field Office.

Terms and Location: Fixed term employment till 31st December 2019 based in Jumla Field Office, Khalanga.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Business Studies and equivalent.  
  • At least 4 years relevant working experience in a similar role or demonstrable evidence of the ability to take the role. 
  • Knowledge of procurements and quotation process.
  • Basic knowledge of tax laws & bylaws.
  • Must have some people management skills.
  • INGO work experience preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare procurement plan and ensure all procurement are processed complying Operation Manual (OM) and statuary requirements.
  • Ensure materials are distributed to requester within stipulated time.
  • Maintain record of assets (both fixed and non-fixed) and update with complete information and accuracy at all times.
  • Support in arranging the transfer or disposal of fixed assets/ equipment in compliance to Operation Manual to the partners.
  • Administer the insurance of all assets at Area Office. 
  • Ensure servicing/repairs of office equipment and assets as per service contracts; check quality of services of the maintenance work.
  • Supervise and manage Receptionist, Office Attendant, Driver and Guards who reports to this position. 
  • Ensure regular payment of utility bills, i.e. Electricity, Water, gas, telephone and gasoline etc.
  • Ensure transportation, hotel bookings, stationery for visitors as per advice of Area Manager & NCO.
