Department: Recreation

We are looking for a responsible, alert, physically fit, and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the swimming pool area, enforcing pool safety regulations, and providing immediate first aid and emergency response when required.

The position also plays an important role as a member of the Medical Emergency Response Team (MERT), providing immediate assistance to injured or ill individuals until they recover or receive professional medical attention.

Key Responsibilities

1. Pool Management

Clean and maintain the swimming pool and surrounding area on a daily basis.
Monitor pool equipment, pump house, and chemical balance of the swimming pool, jacuzzi, and baby pool.
Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of pool furniture and facilities.

2. Lifeguarding

Closely monitor swimmers and maintain constant vigilance.
Enforce swimming pool rules and safety regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
Monitor the toddler/family pool and ensure compliance with safety requirements.
Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and unsafe situations.

3. Medical Emergency Response (MERT)

Assess and respond to injuries and medical emergencies.
Provide appropriate first aid and CPR within the scope of training.
Coordinate with emergency medical services and provide proper handover when required.
Complete necessary incident reports and documentation.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Higher Secondary (+2/A Levels/IB)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Candidates must have completed +2 or be currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
Completion of recognized Lifeguard Training.
First Aid, CPR & AED certification is preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience as a certified lifeguard.
Good eyesight and excellent physical fitness.
Ability to remain calm, confident, and composed during emergencies.
Excellent concentration and constant alertness.
Ability to react quickly and efficiently in life-threatening situations.
Strong visual awareness and ability to anticipate potential risks.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to think quickly, make sound decisions, and solve problems effectively under pressure.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Strong understanding of water safety and emergency response procedures.
