Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Trainee to support our in-house legal and compliance functions. This role provides an excellent opportunity for aspiring legal professionals to gain practical experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, contract management, data privacy, and software product compliance. The successful candidate will work closely with internal teams to help ensure the organization's products, services, and business operations remain legally compliant across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the legal team in providing day-to-day in-house legal support.
Conduct legal research on applicable laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in different jurisdictions.
Support the review, drafting, proofreading, and management of contracts, agreements, policies, and legal documents.
Assist in maintaining legal documentation and contract records.
Help monitor legal and regulatory developments that may impact the business.
Support compliance initiatives relating to data protection, privacy, consumer protection, and software product regulations.
Assist in developing, reviewing, and maintaining internal legal and compliance policies and procedures.
Work with product, technology, finance, HR, and operations teams to address legal and compliance matters.
Assist in identifying legal risks and recommending practical solutions.
Support intellectual property documentation, including trademarks, copyrights, and related legal matters where applicable.
Prepare legal summaries, reports, presentations, and compliance documentation.
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and business information.
Perform other legal and compliance-related duties assigned by the Legal Department.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or currently pursuing the final stage of a law degree.
Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply; prior internship or legal experience will be an advantage.
Basic understanding of corporate, commercial, contract, and technology law.
Familiarity with data privacy and regulatory compliance concepts is desirable.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Good drafting and documentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
