Company: A Leading FMCG Multinational Corporation

Location: Kathmandu 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support in employment, intellectual property, and commercial law matters.
  • Draft and review various contracts, agreements, and legal documents and ensure the timely renewal of various Company & Business-related Agreements.
  • Provide legal advice to Executive Management on legal matters
  • Provide legal guidance on various business operations, including regulatory compliance, and company policies.
  • ⁠Legal Business Partner to Marketing, Sales, and HR Functions
  • Ensure compliance with Nepalese laws and regulations related to the FMCG industry and stay updated on legal developments affecting the FMCG sector
  • Undertake assignments related to the Ministry of Finance, Industry, Labor, National Standards Board, and other related departments.
  • Manage litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as needed.
  • Conduct legal risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher)
  • 7 years of experience in a legal role, preferably within the FMCG
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements, intellectual property rights, drafting, and managing contracts,
  • In-depth knowledge of Nepalese laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment law.
  • Excellent contract negotiation and drafting skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex legal matters in a clear, concise manner.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent Communication and Analytical skills
