Role Purpose

The Lead Web Developer will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to make everyday life easier through innovative digital solutions. This position is responsible for leading the development and maintenance of our web  and mobile applications, ensuring they are robust, scalable, and user-friendly. The ideal candidate will leverage their extensive experience in web development to drive the technical direction of our projects, mentor junior developers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality digital services. Additionally, the Lead Web Developer will have a managerial focus, overseeing project timelines, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring that development goals align with the company’s strategic objectives. By enhancing our online platform, the Lead Web Developer will directly contribute to our vision of becoming the leading digital service provider in the country, known for our commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and community support. 

Accountabilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of our eCommerce marketplace platform utilizing Python, React, and Django, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.
• Manage and mentor a team of developers, fostering a culture of excellence and adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to gather comprehensive requirements and translate them into precise technical specifications.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications, ensuring optimal user experience and system reliability.
• Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment gateways, shipping systems, and inventory management, to enhance platform functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining optimal performance standards.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, ensuring the delivery of clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, incorporating relevant advancements into the development process to maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure strict compliance with security standards and data protection regulations, safeguarding user data and maintaining trust.
• Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for reference and reporting purposes, ensuring clarity and continuity

Technical Expertise, Skills and Qualification:

Required Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge and experience on web application development cycle. 
• Proficiency in Python and the Django framework.
• Experience in web and mobile development.
• Strong experience with React and front-end development.
• In-depth knowledge of RESTful APIs and their integration.
• Experience with SQL and other databases, including schema design and query optimization.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Understanding of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in web and mobile apps development, with a focus on eCommerce/ ERP. 
• Proven experience in leading development teams and managing projects.
• Strong portfolio of previous work demonstrating technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

Lead Web Developer role at Sajilo Life Pvt Ltd is primarily office-based, situated in a modern, well-equipped environment designed to foster productivity and collaboration. The office features ergonomic workstations, high-speed internet, and access to the latest development tools and technologies. It includes open-plan areas, dedicated meeting rooms, and quiet zones for focused work, as well as comfortable break areas with amenities such as a kitchenette and lounge seating. While the role is mainly office-based, there may be opportunities for remote work or flexible hours, depending on project requirements and company policies. The office is accessible to all employees, adhering to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone.
