1. BACKGROUND

NOW CFO is a full-service outsourced financial consulting firm that provides accounting, controller, and CFO-level support services to organizations across a wide range of industries. 2. BASIC FUNCTION FOR THIS POSITION

The Lead Accountant I will be responsible for performing, reviewing, and leading core accounting functions while ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all accounting and financial reporting activities. This role requires strong technical accounting expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, market representatives, and internal management in a fast-paced offshore environment.

3. POSITION DESCRIPTION

In a diverse, collaborative, supportive, and inclusive work environment, the Lead Accountant I will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

A. Accounting Operations

Perform bookkeeping and accounting activities, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payment processing.
Build cash flow forecasts and assist in budgeting.
Manage inventory accounting and review account balances.
Process and review monthly, quarterly, and yearly accruals.
Evaluate and improve accounting systems for accuracy and efficiency.

B. Financial Reporting and Analysis

Prepare and review financial statements.
Customize and generate MIS and management reports.
Analyze trends, identify gaps, and provide recommendations for efficiency or cost savings.
Assist in financial and tax audit preparation.

C. Systems and Process Improvement

Maximize accounting system efficiency and ensure proper use of ERP and accounting tools (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.).
Develop and maintain a quality control mechanism to ensure high-quality output from the team.
D. Coordination, Communication, and Client Support
Work closely with clients and market representatives to ensure timely, confidential, and high-quality service.
Liaise with management, market representatives, and team members to ensure clear communication.
Maintain updated records of daily activities and submit bi-weekly time entry reports on BizVue.

E. Leadership and Supervision

Lead, mentor, and guide team members in performing regular accounting activities.
Conduct training sessions on accounting, ERP systems, and other relevant topics.
Ensure high standards of work quality, compliance, and professionalism.

F. Other Duties

Perform other duties as assigned that are related to the position.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 6 years

Other Specification

Education

A master's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. A professional degree/certification is required.
Advanced certifications or training in accounting, finance, or related fields is also preferred.

Experience

A minimum of 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and general financial management is required. Experience in offshore or US-based accounting is preferred.

Skills and Competencies

Expert knowledge of corporate accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and accounting/ERP software (QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, etc.).
