We are seeking a skilled and experienced Backend Developer with expertise in PHP and Laravel to join our dynamic development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining web applications, ensuring high performance, and managing backend services and the interchange of data between the server and users.

Responsibilities

• Perform a mix of maintenance, enhancements, and new development as required
• Document features, technical specifications & infrastructure Responsibilities
• Work cross-functionally to convert business needs into technical specifications
• Develop, test, and maintain web applications using PHP and Laravel.
• Design and implement scalable, secure, and robust backend services.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Ensure all code is well-documented and follows best practices.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Work with database management systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in PHP and Laravel development.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework.
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture and OOP principles.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and JSON.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Vue.js or React is a plus).
• Proficient in database design and management (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Knowledge of cloud services (AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker) is a plus.
