Lab Assistant for Province Public Health Laboratory (PPHL) and Hospital

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect, Prepare, process and store samples according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Prepares, packages and ships specimens according to SOP and in timely manner as needed
  • COVID 19 antigen testing at Camp and Laboratory settings.
  • Document sample results into spreadsheets and databases as required
  • Perform data entry for COVID-19 PCR.
  • Work with hazardous chemicals and biological materials (handling and disposal) using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Dispatch to individual patient’s report.
  • To support on day-to-day operation of PPHL as per need basis as directed by PPHL Director.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in medical laboratory technology, 
  • Registration in Nepal Health Professional Council is mandatory, 
  • Demonstrate a high level of motivation and good communication, social, and interpersonal skills.
