Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a passionate, caring, and dedicated Kindergarten Grade Teacher to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young learners. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons, fostering students’ social, emotional, and academic growth, and maintaining positive relationships with parents and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, child-centered lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports learning and development.
Foster the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of students.
Use innovative teaching methods, educational games, storytelling, and hands-on activities to enhance learning.
Assess and monitor students’ progress and maintain accurate academic records.
Identify individual learning needs and provide appropriate support and encouragement.
Maintain effective classroom management and positive discipline practices.
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and development.
Integrate ICT and educational technology into teaching and learning activities.
Participate actively in school events, meetings, training programs, and co-curricular activities.
Collaborate with colleagues and school leadership to ensure quality educational outcomes.

Candidate Requirements:

Personal Attributes: Patience, emotional intelligence, empathy, compassion, resilience, adaptability, and high physical stamina to effectively manage young learners’ behavioral and developmental needs.
Professional Competencies: Strong knowledge of child development (ages 5–8), classroom organization, assessment and observation skills, inclusive teaching practices, and awareness of early intervention strategies for special needs.
Soft Skills: Effective collaboration with parents, co-teachers, and staff; creativity and storytelling to engage children; time management; and cultural sensitivity in diverse learning environments.
Technical & Pedagogical Skills: Expertise in early literacy and numeracy foundations, play-based learning methodologies, and strict adherence to child safety and safeguarding protocols.
Certifications/Training: Certification, child protection and safeguarding training, and completion of early childhood development courses.

Eligibility Criteria: Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

Academic Qualification: Minimum Intermediate (+2) or higher.
Experience: At least 3 years of teaching experience at the Kindergarten level.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Subject Expertise: Strong command and relevant strength in subject matter.
Personal Qualities: Pleasant personality with a positive attitude.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in computer applications with ICT-friendly approach.
