Roles and responsibilities of this job

This role requires ensuring that the organization’s IT Infrastructure and System Operation smoothly, securely, and efficiently. A Junior System Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day monitoring, operation, and maintenance of the systems and infrastructure, including configuration, patching, system security,y and support.

Job Specification:

At least a university degree in Engineering, Computer Application/ Science, IT, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in the implementation and support of network and communication systems, ICT infrastructure, including servers and data center.
Basic understanding of Windows Server, Linux, virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), AIX Platform, HCI environment, and networking/network technologies.
Understanding of Active Directory domain, file server, email system, and PKI infrastructure.
Participate in the day-to-day operations of the physical data center and system monitoring, including 24/7 rotational shifts.
Assist in patch management and software updates for operating systems and infrastructure components.
Assist in implementing system hardening standards for Linux (Red Hat, Oracle Linux) and Windows-based servers, firewalls, switches, load balancers, network devices,and VPNs (Virtual Private Networks).
Monitor LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), and wireless networks, including maintenance of cabling, racking, and equipment management
Assist with the deployment and monitoring of endpoint protection tools, antivirus, IPS/IDS, and ACLs.
Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
