Position: Junior Business Analyst
We are looking for a business analyst who can document our business processes, requirements, and solutions clearly and concisely. You will work closely with various stakeholders, such as project managers, developers, and testers, to understand their needs and expectations, and translate them into well-structured and easy-to-follow documents. You will also review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with standards and best practices.
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication, writing, and analytical skills. You should also have a keen eye for detail, a strong sense of ownership, and a passion for delivering high-quality documentation. You should be familiar with various documentation tools and formats, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, PDF, etc. You should also have a good knowledge of business analysis methodologies and techniques, such as agile, user stories, use cases, UML diagrams, etc.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Document the current and future state of the business processes, requirements, and solutions clearly and concisely.
- Use appropriate documentation tools and formats to create various types of documents, such as business process models, functional specifications, user manuals, test cases, training materials, etc.
- Review and edit documents for clarity, accuracy, consistency, completeness, and compliance with standards and best practices.
- Manage and maintain the document repository and version control system.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to solicit feedback and approval on the documents.
- Communicate the document status and progress to the project team and management.
- Identify and resolve any issues or gaps in the documentation.
- Assist the BA, tech, and Project Management teams in planning and prioritizing enhancement, development, and release of the concerned module.
- Analyze, coordinate, and finalize the functionality/module/project's business requirements.
- Assist team lead and Project Management Team in resource and task assignments.
- Be involved in the documentation and presentation of the core end-to-end business process.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, PO/PM, and the development team to elicit and document business requirements.
- Conduct thorough business process analysis, identifying areas for improvement and providing recommendations.
- Translate business requirements into clear and concise functional requirements and user stories.
- Facilitate meetings, and workshops, to gather business and system requirements.
- Analyze and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and constraints.
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor project progress, track, and report on key metrics, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in business analysis and software development methodologies.
Requirements/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, information systems, computer science, or related field.
- Proven experience as a business analyst in a software development environment.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, etc.)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and identify creative solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and the development team.
- Familiar with various business analysis methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and quality orientation.
Experience: Proven work experience of 6 months as a Business Analyst
