Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements, in line with NFRS.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data within the accounting system.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
Lead the preparation of annual budgets with department heads.
Need to close collaboration with other departments, auditors, and senior management to provide financial insights and control costs.
Responsible for managing the accounting and financial operations of the project, ensuring accurate financial reporting & maintaining compliance with accounting standards.
Overseeing the day-to-day activities of the account department.
Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and ensure audit readiness.
Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by management.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Other Specification

Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Professionally Qualified CA, ACCA
Recently qualified CA or ACCA who are willing to excel in their career in the hydropower sector, are highly encouraged to apply.
4 years of proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role. Experience in Hydropower will be an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and audit processes.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
