Job Details: Jr. Data Analyst is an Officer level contractual position, to be confirmed upon satisfactory completion of performance as per company’s policy
Education: Minimum Bachelor’s Degree on computer science or related field from a recognized university.
Skills and Competencies:
Design, develop, and maintain robust database systems (SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
Implement efficient database architecture and design to ensure optimal performance and scalability.
Integrate APIs and third-party services to support application data requirements.
Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
Collaborate with application developers to ensure seamless integration of databases with applications.
Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure availability and reliability.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database management and optimization.
Ensure proper documentation for database structures, configurations, and procedures.
Duties and responsibility:
Install, configure, and maintain SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases.
Database design and development
Manage database instances for performance, security, and availability.
Perform database migrations, upgrades, and patching.
Analyze and optimize database performance (query tuning, indexing, configuration).
Perform regular performance reviews and recommend optimizations.
Design and implement backup and recovery strategies.
Test and validate backup procedures regularly.
Ensure disaster recovery capabilities.
Implement database security policies (access control, encryption, auditing).
Monitor and apply security patches for databases.
Collaborate with development teams to design scalable database solutions.
Ensure database designs support business scalability and performance needs.
Provide support for database incidents and troubleshooting.
Develop automation scripts for routine DBA tasks (backups, monitoring).
Document troubleshooting logs and incidents.
Stay up to date with database updates, features, and improvements.
Plan and execute database upgrades and patch management.
Expertise in SQL Server, Oracle, and PostgreSQL administration.
Knowledge of database security, encryption, and user management.
Strong backup, recovery, and disaster recovery expertise.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with other database systems (MySQL, MariaDB).
