About the job

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure Java applications using Spring Boot.
• Develop and optimise database queries using PostgreSQL and MongoDB to handle increasing data loads.
• Integrate with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services, ensuring seamless deployment, scalability, and operations.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Build, test, and deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines, particularly with GitHub Actions.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues, providing timely fixes and performance improvements.
• Contribute to the ongoing efforts to scale our infrastructure and optimize application performance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Database Skills: Proficiency in PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with experience in optimising queries for large datasets.
• Cloud Experience: Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and related services, especially in scaling environments.
• Front-End Skills: Experience with front-end technologies, particularly React is a plus.
• DevOps Skills: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitHub Actions, is a plus.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in performance optimization and scalability.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
