We are seeking an experienced and strategic IT Systems Manager to lead the management, security, and continuous improvement of our technology infrastructure and business systems.

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring our IT environment is secure, reliable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with strategic planning to drive digital transformation, improve operational efficiency, enhance cybersecurity, and implement modern business intelligence and automation solutions.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the company's technology roadmap while working closely with leadership and all departments across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Servers, Active Directory, networking, cloud services, backups, disaster recovery, firewalls, VPNs, and Wi-Fi.
Oversee business-critical applications, including CRM, accounting software, property management systems, document management platforms, helpdesk systems, Microsoft Teams, Exchange Online, and other enterprise solutions.
Lead systems integration projects to streamline workflows, eliminate duplicate data entry, and improve business efficiency using APIs and automation tools.
Develop and maintain the company's cybersecurity strategy, including endpoint protection, MFA, access control, email security, device management, incident response, and security awareness initiatives.
Ensure data integrity, governance, compliance, backup management, and disaster recovery procedures are maintained to industry best practices.
Design and deliver business intelligence dashboards using Power BI (or similar) to provide real-time reporting across operations, finance, sales, customer service, and performance management.
Identify opportunities to automate business processes using Microsoft Power Automate, AI technologies, APIs, and workflow automation tools.
Manage relationships with IT vendors, software providers, cloud services, telecommunications, and technology partners while monitoring service levels, contracts, and costs.
Lead technology projects including cloud migration, digital transformation initiatives, infrastructure upgrades, CRM implementation, AI adoption, and new software deployments.
Oversee internal IT support services, ensuring excellent response times, user satisfaction, documentation, and continuous service improvement.
Manage IT assets including laptops, desktops, mobile devices, meeting room technology, printers, and security systems while maintaining accurate asset registers.
Prepare and manage the annual IT budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support investment decisions through business case development.
Develop and maintain IT governance, cybersecurity policies, disaster recovery plans, business continuity procedures, and compliance standards.
Provide technical leadership, user training, and promote the effective adoption of technology throughout the organisation.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years' experience managing enterprise IT systems and infrastructure
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Administration

CRM and enterprise business systems
SQL databases
Backup and Disaster Recovery

Experience with Property Management Systems (MRI Software, Qube, Yardi, or similar)
Microsoft Power Platform
SharePoint
API integrations
AI implementation and automation
ITIL, PRINCE2, or PMP certification
Cyber Essentials or ISO 27001 experience

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
Microsoft certifications (Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Administrator, or equivalent)
ITIL Foundation certification
Cybersecurity certification (CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Security, or equivalent)
PRINCE2, Agile, or PMP certification is advantageous

What Success Looks Like

Within the first 12 months, the successful candidate will:
Complete a full audit of the company's IT infrastructure, software, hardware, security, and integrations.
Develop and implement a three-year IT and Digital Transformation Strategy.
Deliver role-based management dashboards with real-time KPI reporting.
Improve cybersecurity and complete disaster recovery testing.
Introduce formal IT governance and asset lifecycle management.
Reduce manual administrative work through automation and system integration.
Deliver measurable improvements in operational efficiency, reporting, system reliability, and user satisfaction.
