Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a motivated and skilled IT Officer to manage and support the organization’s information technology systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth IT operations, provide technical support, and contribute to the efficient use of technology across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain the college’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and computer systems.
Provide technical support to faculty, staff, and students for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Install, configure, and update software and hardware as required.
Ensure the security of the college’s IT systems and data through regular updates, backups, and security measures.
Troubleshoot and resolve IT issues in a timely and efficient manner.
Monitor system performance and manage network availability.
Maintain inventory of all IT equipment and ensure proper functioning.
Provide training and support to users on new technologies and systems.
Develop and implement IT policies and procedures.
Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to support their IT needs.
Stay updated with the latest technology trends and advancements to suggest improvements.

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
At least 2 years of relevant work experience in an IT-related role.
Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
