Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

To support day-to-day IT operations at the visa application centre and ensure all systems, hardware, software, and networks function smoothly. The role is responsible for troubleshooting user issues, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring compliance with company security and data-protection standards.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

Provide first-level technical support to staff for hardware, software, network, and system issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, biometric devices, CCTV systems, and other IT equipment.
Ensure uninterrupted operation of the visa-processing systems, appointment systems, and internal applications.
Monitor system performance, network connectivity, and internet uptime; escalate issues when required.
Maintain and update IT asset inventory, including tagging, tracking, and disposal.
Perform routine maintenance, updates, patches, and antivirus checks.
Support new employees onboard with system access creation and IT orientation.
Assist in troubleshooting VPN, server access, email issues, and cloud-based platforms.
Coordinate with regional/global IT teams for escalations and system upgrades.
Ensure compliance with cybersecurity policies and company data-protection standards.
Maintain documentation related to IT procedures, configurations, and incident logs.
Provide on-ground support during audits, quality assurance, system migrations, and new technology rollouts.
Support and follow company’s overall mission, values, standard protocol, and guidelines.
Shall adhere to the environment health and safety policy / objectives and guidelines of the organization.
Manage the deployment and communicate regularly with executive Management and reporting Managers of information services and systems.
Contribute to innovative IT solutions to enterprise – through cost reduction, or initiatives.

Experience /Area of Expertise and Mandatory Skills

BSC CSIT qualified, with minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or helpdesk.
Preference and a plus, if have hands on training related to networking, experience in visa or travel industry
Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common business applications.
Basic to Intermediate understanding of networking (LAN/WAN), routers, firewalls, and VPN.
Experience with hardware troubleshooting and device maintenance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and support peak-time operations.
Willingness to work shifts or weekends if required.
Experience supporting biometric equipment, passport scanners, or visa-processing tools.
Familiarity with ticketing tools (Jira, Freshdesk, ServiceNow, etc.)
