  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support, Desktop Support, IT Help Desk Technician or similar role
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Windows server, Microsoft SQL server
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft IIS Site
  • Good understanding of computer systems
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and help desk software (e.g. TeamViewer)
  • CCNA certification will be a plus

Job Description

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers and scanners
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks
  • Research and identify solutions to software/hardware issues and solve the same
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests
  • Track computer system issues through to resolution, within agreed time limits
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)
  • Providing technical support across the company (this may be in person or over the phone)Setting up accounts for new users
  • Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary
  • Testing new technology
  • Possibly training more junior staff members
  • Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
  • Maintain jovial relationships with clients
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Ensure all issues are properly logged
