About the job

As an Inventory Coordinator, primary responsibility is to manage and control the organization's inventory levels. He/she will play a crucial role in optimizing stock levels, ensuring accuracy in records, and facilitating seamless communication between various departments. The goal is to maintain efficient inventory processes, minimize discrepancies, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including stock in warehouses, on shelves, and in transit.
  • Conduct regular stock audits to ensure physical stock aligns with system records.
  • Implement and uphold inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and losses.

Order Processing:

  • Collaborate with procurement and sales teams to ensure adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
  • Generate purchase orders based on inventory needs and consumption trends.
  • Track and manage inbound shipments, coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize inventory management software to generate reports on stock levels, consumption, and turnover.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, forecast future inventory needs, and make recommendations for improvement.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Liaise with various departments, such as purchasing, sales, and logistics, to maintain open communication and ensure alignment of inventory goals with overall business objectives.
  • Address and resolve discrepancies or issues related to inventory in a timely manner.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously assess and improve inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Propose and implement best practices to optimize inventory control and reduce costs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience in inventory management or related roles.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
