Roles and responsibilities of this job

S.M.S. Corporation Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced IELTS/PTE/English Instructor who can also take on the role of Student Counselor. This hybrid position is ideal for someone passionate about both language education and guiding students towards their academic and career goals abroad.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching:

Deliver effective classroom and online instruction for IELTS, PTE, and General English courses.
Create and implement tailored lesson plans to meet students’ learning goals.
Conduct regular assessments, mock tests, and provide constructive feedback.
Guide students through test-taking techniques and language improvement methods.
Maintain student records, attendance logs, and performance tracking.
Stay updated on exam changes and integrate relevant updates into teaching methods.

Counseling:

Guide students in choosing suitable courses, institutions, and countries for higher education
Assist in the application, documentation, and visa process
Address student queries regarding study abroad plans, test preparation, and timelines
Maintain detailed records of student consultations and progress
Coordinate with internal academic and admissions teams for smooth student support

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s Degree running will be an Advantange)

Experience:

Minimum 1 years of professional experience teaching IELTS, PTE, or English Language

Required Skills:

Excellent command of English (written and spoken)
In-depth knowledge of IELTS and PTE exam structures
Lesson planning and classroom management
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Time management and adaptability
Capable of working independently and in team settings

Preferred Qualifications:

TESOL, TEFL, IELTS or PTE Instructor Certification
Experience in virtual/online teaching platforms
Passionate about mentoring and student growth
