Role overview

To lead, coordinate and facilitate recruitment, induction and onboarding of employees, volunteers (Youth, national and international), interns, consultants, outsourcing employees on time with right skills sets to achieve VSO’s mission. This position will provide administrative assistance to all other HR functions. This is a highly people centric position, and is responsible to upheld human value and human spirit on the workplace.

Skills, qualifications and experience required

Essential: 
Qualification 

  • At least Bachelor degree in Human Resources Management/ Human Resource Development / Organisation Development or other related field. Masters preferred
  • At least 3-4 yrs. of proven track record in the same area
  • Knowledge of country labour market, employment and immigration laws and regulations

Experience 

  • Human Resource Management 
  • Demonstrable skills and experience of HR business partnering in a global organisation setting with a multi-cultural environment
  • Experience in HR administration and providing policy guidance in the areas of Resourcing, Induction, Employee Relations, Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits, Contract Management and HR information systems (HRIS)
  • Skills and experience in providing HRM administration support with understanding the needs of diverse workforce and young people developmental stages to flexibly apply people policies as appropriate within the context
  • Understanding and commitment to data protection, confidentiality, equal opportunity, social inclusion, gender equity and diversity
  • Experience of HR in Humanitarian context is an advantage
  • Volunteering for Development and Youth Engagement 
  • Understanding and valuing the role of volunteering for development
  • Valuing the role of young people in development
  • Experience of working with international and national professional volunteers and youth plus personal experience of volunteering for development is a significant advantage

  • Good verbal and oral communication skills in English and local languages

Financial and Risk Management – Sound knowledge of financial and risk management skills 

Information Technology - Good level of computer skills (Windows, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook, Internet)

Travel requirement: Able to travel in country and internationally occasionally and spend time away from work- base location and home.
