The Nepal branch of Doosan Enerbility Co., Ltd. is the EPC Contractor of 216 MW Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Plant Project at Rasuwa district in the Central Development Region of Nepal and is seeking to recruit talented individual who are ready to join us on the journey towards a new era of eco-friendly energy. This UT-1 project is a run-of-river scheme on the Trishuli River approximately 70 km north of Kathmandu. The project is being developed by Nepal Water and Energy Development Company Pvt. Ltd., a company established with participation from Korea South-East Power Company, Korea Overseas Infrastructure and Urban Development Corporation, financial investor International Finance Corporation and the local partner. This distinctive project to Nepal is financed by nine reputed international banks including the IFC, K-Exim, ADB, AIIB, KDB, CDC, FMO, PDFI and OFID.

Job Description

Duration: One year with possibility of extension till the end of the Project (Project Completion : 31st Dec. 2026)
Duty Station:  Kathmandu & Rasuwa as per Company requirement
Offered Remuneration:  Negotiable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Senior Environment and Social Manager for the compliant human resource deliverables.
  • Grievance handling to improve the management and workers relationship. 
  • Ensure the Subcontractors human resource undertakings comply with legal and Lenders requirements.
  • Human resource risk assessment and mitigation.
  • Periodically audit the Subcontractors HR system and take immediate corrective actions.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company business strategy. 
  • Managing the recruitment and selection process.
  • Nurture a positive working environment.
  • Implement strict compliance to the code of conduct.
  • Employee record keeping and human resource management.

Essentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, law or related field from reputed institution. 
  • Proven working experience of minimum 5 years in similar works, capacity and organization. Candidate with the work experience in international organization and funding agencies is desired.
  • Detail knowledge of Nepalese labor law, ILO and the IFC performance standards. 
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics.
  • Proactive with strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities. 
  • Ability to convenience large number of workers to comply with the requirements of the Project.
  • Ability to discuss and convenience the subcontractors.

Key Skills Required: The candidate should have good analytical, leadership, English communication and writing skills. The ideal candidate will be proficient in the human resource performance deliverables to accomplish the Lender’s requirements.
