An HR Jr. Officer helps an HR Manager with recruitment and other human relations duties. HR Jr. Officers help organizations maintain a healthy working environment. An HR Jr. Officer job advert should cover all essential information about the role and your company. As an HR Jr. Officer, you’ll work with the HR team to ensure the organization runs as smoothly as possible. You’ll assist with uplifting and developing employees to reach their full potential while also bringing new people on board. You’ll report to the HR Manager at the Head Office. 

Roles and responsibilities 

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process of new hires as well as process employee terminations.
  • Create and manage job advertisements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS system.
  • Help create programs for employee growth and development
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, rules, regulations and best practices and follow changes.
  • Oversee HR issues and keep track of the resolutions
  • Assist in managing training and courses to better employee performance and well-being
  • Keep up to date on employee paperwork and confidential files
  • Coordinate and track employee leave requests (sick leave, vacation, personal days).
  • Assist with recruitment activities such as posting job postings, scheduling interviews, and managing interview logistics.
  • Maintain personnel files and ensure all company documentation is organized and readily accessible.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employees with HR-related inquiries.
  • Ensure clear and timely communication with employees regarding company policies, announcements, and updates,
  • Manage the probation process for new hires
  • Facilitate performance reviews

Requirements

  • Prior HR experience (no less than 2 years) 
  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
  • An understanding of labor laws, rules, regulations and best practices 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to showcase strategic thinking and tackle a problem from all angles 
  • Any relevant training courses or credentials in Human Resources are a plus
