• The Helpline Counselor will be responsible for operating and executing PSI/Nepal’s Helpline system. Under the supervision of the Marketing & Communications Officer and in close coordination with the marketing & communications and health services department, s/he will provide quality counseling services and appropriate information on Family Planning/Reproductive Health and/or any other future intervention areas of the organization to customers over the telephone. The counselor plays a vital role in supporting PSI/Nepal’s current activities such as Interpersonal Communication (IPC), Provider Behavior Change Communication (PBCC), Quality Assurance (QA) and other health services

Job Specification: 

• Bachelors degree in social work, or related area preferably with Comprehensive Family Planning (COFP)/HIV/Safe Abortion counseling training
• Minimum two years of work experience in a similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows programs like Word and Excel
• Ability to remain patient, good listening skills and passionate to help/counsel people on healthier lives
• Ability to express and convey ideas and knowledge clearly
• Enthusiasm and a desire to make a positive impact as a team player
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in both Nepali and English
