Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a passionate and committed Health Education and Environmental Science Teacher for the Lower Secondary level. The ideal candidate will deliver engaging and student-centred lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support students’ academic and personal growth. The teacher will also contribute to curriculum development, assessment planning, and overall school initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Teach Health Education and Environmental Science to Lower Secondary students
Prepare lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum and academic standards
Use student-centred and inquiry-based teaching approaches
Design and conduct assessments to evaluate student progress
Prepare students for internal and board examinations (where applicable)
Maintain accurate academic records and reports
Provide mentoring and guidance to students
Ensure effective classroom management and discipline
Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
Participate in school programs, meetings, and professional development activities

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Science or related field (Health / Environmental Science background preferred)
Relevant teaching experience at Lower Secondary level preferred
Strong classroom management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to design assessments and provide result-oriented instruction
Commitment to teamwork and continuous professional development
Familiarity with modern teaching methodologies and educational technology
