Roles and responsibilities of this job

The HOD – Brand/Operations will be responsible for driving service excellence, operational efficiency, and brand consistency across all Himalayan Java Express outlets. This role ensures that every customer experiences the same quality of service, product presentation, and brand values, while maintaining smooth day-to-day cafe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Service Excellence

Oversee daily cafe operations across Himalayan Java Express outlets
Ensure high standards of customer service, speed of service, and cleanliness
Monitor outlet performance and address operational or service gaps promptly
Conduct regular outlet visits, audits, and service evaluations
Support outlet managers in improving operational efficiency and staff performance

Brand Standards & Customer Experience

Ensure consistent implementation of brand standards, service SOPs, and cafe guidelines
Maintain uniformity in product presentation, staff grooming, and customer interaction
Lead initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and brand perception
Handle escalated customer feedback and ensure timely resolution

Training & Team Coordination

Coordinate with HR and training teams to ensure staff are trained on service standards and brand values
Support onboarding and refresher training related to cafe operations and service behavior
Guide outlet managers and supervisors to lead teams effectively

Reporting & Coordination

Analyze operational reports, customer feedback, and service KPIs
Prepare regular performance updates for management
Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and support teams for smooth cafe operations

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of cafe or hospitality operations
Service-driven mindset with attention to detail
Leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced service environment
Problem-solving and decision-making capability

Experience & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
3–4 years of experience in cafe, restaurant, or hospitality operations
Prior experience in multi-outlet operations will be an advantage
