AAIN is seeking competent, committed and result-oriented candidates for the position of Human Resource, Organisational Development & Safeguarding Manager (HROD&S). HROD&S Manager ensures the development, update, and implementation of human resources and safeguarding policies, procedures, and systems for AAIN which are aligned to the AAIN Country Strategic Plan; and ensures adherence to HR good practices of AAI Global HROD Framework and Standards, and compliance with all local labor laws and other statutory requirements in Nepal.

  • The candidate must have excellent knowledge about disaster risk management, whilst experience in dealing with donor accountability, managing diverse teams, coordinating partner organizations is a must, excellent Finance and communication skills in English is required

Job Description

This is a senior level position reporting to the Country Director of AAIN and is based in Kathmandu, Nepal with frequent travel to the field and externally. The post is offered under ActionAid’s International terms and conditions for one year duration with a possibility of extension.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction to CLRP and provide overall management oversight
  • Direct, coordinate and manage the programme as per agreed strategy and plan of the organization
  • Develop, lead the implementation and monitor the AAIN CLRP partnership policy, strategy and plans
  • Ensure effective communication with key stakeholders of CLRP such as donors, government stakeholders, AA federation, IHART and other relevant groups and institutions
  • Provide technical inputs to thematic engagements in CLRP as the advisor for Humanitarian Response
  • Participate and contribute to the identification of CLRP funding gaps, priorities and opportunities
  • Maintain and update a repertoire of laws applicable to the operations of AAIN CLRP and apprise management of any potential risks relating to implementation of the programme
  • Ensure team spirit and provide inspirational leadership to CLRP team
  • Provide a strategic oversight of budgets and its utilization as per the strategy and plan of the organization
  • Enforce transparency and accountability process and mechanisms in CLRP
  • Ensure critical synergy is in place between programme and policy/advocacy work of CLRP
