Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Chef / Kitchen Supervisor to oversee our school kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will ensure that all meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and prepared in compliance with hygiene and safety standards. This role involves both hands-on cooking and supervision of the kitchen team to maintain smooth and efficient meal service for students and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and supervise the preparation of nutritious meals for students and staff.
  • Develop weekly and monthly menus in line with nutritional guidelines.
  • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, maintaining a cooperative and efficient work environment.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, monitor supplies, and coordinate with vendors for timely procurement.
  • Maintain cost control while ensuring food quality and portion consistency.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure timely meal service.
  • Monitor kitchen cleanliness and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
