Roles and responsibilities of this job
We are seeking a highly experienced, dynamic, and result-oriented Group Procurement Manager to oversee, review, supervise, and support ongoing hotel and infrastructure construction project procurements, as well as manage the daily procurement activities for our group of companies.
The ideal candidate must possess deep knowledge of procurement policies, and exceptional critical thinking skills. You should be equally comfortable delivering high-level managerial reviews and providing practical, field-level support to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement & Vendor Management
Develop and implement group-wide procurement strategies that align with overarching business goals.
Source, evaluate, and manage reliable suppliers and vendors to ensure maximum quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with suppliers to achieve optimum value for the organization.
Collaborate with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Logistics) to forecast demand, manage procurement budgets, and optimize inventory levels.
Stay ahead of market trends (including AI integrations), supply chain risks, and emerging challenges to proactively mitigate disruptions.
Cost & Quality Control
Assist executive management in stringent cost control and value-addition initiatives.
Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
Support and drive comprehensive procurement evaluations related to all construction materials, structural works, and vendor deliverables.
Leadership & Field Support
Lead, mentor, and guide junior procurement staff and site supervisors.
Balance strategic administrative tasks with practical, field-level support at project sites.
Maintain impeccable professional discipline, seamless cross-departmental coordination, and robust teamwork within the group.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in any stream (a Master’s degree is highly preferred).
Minimum 10 years of proven experience in Procurement Management.
Previous experience managing procurement for hospitality or high-rise infrastructure projects will be considered a distinct advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of construction management, project execution, and the ability to critically review complex technical and engineering documents.
Software Proficiency: Highly proficient in MS Project, MS Excel, and other relevant procurement/project management software.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, communication, reporting, and meticulous documentation abilities.
Adaptability: Proven ability to work under pressure, manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced project environment.
