Job Description

Executive Search at Merojob is looking a Group CFO for its client – a leading diversified industrial group of company engaged in manufacturing sector. The Group CFO / Group CA will be responsible for providing strategic financial leadership across all business units. This role entails overseeing financial planning, risk management, budgeting, and compliance to ensure financial health, sustainability, and profitability of the group. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in accounting and finance with deep understanding of industrial operations and strategic management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the group’s overall financial strategy aligned with long-term business goals.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and analysis across all business units.
  • Advise the Board and senior management on financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee consolidated financial statements, MIS reports, and performance dashboards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Supervise audit processes and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and banks.
  • Drive the budgeting process and monitor variances against targets.
  • Implement effective cost control measures and productivity tracking across factories.
  • Identify areas for financial efficiency and profitability improvement.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and funding requirements of the group.
  • Maintain strong relationships with financial institutions for credit facilities, project financing, and loan management.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of resources across multiple units.
  • Ensure full compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • Establish and strengthen internal controls, risk management frameworks, and audit systems.
  • Oversee tax planning, transfer pricing, and group-level compliance reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance teams across multiple units.
  • Build strong collaboration between finance, operations, and strategy departments.
  • Promote a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA preferred).
  • Minimum 10–15 years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in manufacturing, cement, steel, or textile industries.
  • Strong understanding of Nepalese taxation, accounting standards, and financial regulations.
  • Experience in managing multi-unit or group-level financial operations is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record in financial strategy, project finance, and cost management.
