Time Bound Contract - Six months to One year
- Supervises grants budgets according to donor requirements and international standards where necessary
- Develop and maintain the financial reporting system and ensure all reports are kept current.
- Conduct grants and Sun system/Vision training to WVIN staff at National and field level and provide support to partner financial teams.
- Ensure that all financial activities completed in a timely manner and audited as appropriate
- Coordinate with program officers and donor liaison officer on grant provisions
- Coordinate the writing of proposals and reports to donors, and ensure all WV standards are adhered to
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, analysis and sharing of findings from assessments and programme monitoring with stakeholders and partners
- Ensure that all monitoring tools are in place and partners trained in use, with timely reporting into all clusters and to appropriate organisations.
- Coordinate and liaise with key internal and external stakeholders including government, partners, other INGOs, clusters, donors
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration, Chartered Accountant or relevant subject from recognized university with least five years’ experience in a senior field Finance role, preferably with some experience in an emergency relief context. World Vision Experience is highly desired.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective organizational, financial and accounting systems, including Sun Systems;
- Strong working knowledge of financial operations in unstable and risky environment
- Good knowledge of sector and departmental budget linkages
- Able to negotiate and manage budget needs and resources sharing between different sectors and departments
- Good understanding audit compliance requirements; sound knowledge of ICT and Administration
- Must be able to lead and manage a team
- Able to solve complex problems and exercise independent judgment; able to focus on the big picture while monitoring small details, flexible and adaptable
- Risk taker, quick decision maker and good networking skills;
- Able to represent WV in meetings and with external stake holders;
- Strong English communication skills (oral and written); ability to train staff; able to work in a stressful environment;
