We, at Omnicom Media Group Nepal, a subsidiary of OmnicomMediaGroup Australia are looking to hire for the position of Google Cloud Engineer.

Scope of the role

The Google Cloud Engineer is central to the technical excellence the agency provides to its clients. This role emphasizes hands-on technical work, developing and deploying cloud solutions tailored to clients' needs. While their primary focus is on engineering, they will also collaborate closely with consultants and other teams to ensure the developed solutions align with broader business goals.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement bespoke Google Cloud solutions tailored to clients' specific requirements.
• Utilise Google Cloud data engineering tools, including Cloud Composer, Data Flow, and Cloud Run.
• Oversee the design, deployment, and management of scalable and reliable Google Cloud architectures.
• Work with Python, Git, and Docker to maintain and optimise client applications, services, and infrastructures.
• Integrate DevOps methodologies to streamline software development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Collaborate closely with the Google Cloud Consultants to ensure that technical solutions align with the business focus and goals.
• Support on projects including Composable CDP Development, Looker Dashboard Data Engineering, Vertex AI Data Pipeline Development and various Marketing Analytics Solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Google Cloud technologies and best practices.

Soft Skills

• Technical Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
• Team Collaboration: Work effectively with diverse teams, understanding the roles and contributions of other specialists.
• Adaptability: Rapidly adjust to new client needs or changes in technical requirements.
• Problem-solving: Innovative approach to challenges, offering efficient and effective solutions.
• Continuous Learning: Dedication to staying updated on the latest Google Cloud developments and industry trends.

Additional Skills:

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and their integration with cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes and container orchestration.

3 Month Goal:

• Understand the specific cloud needs of the agency's clients and the business context.
• Begin deploying tailored cloud solutions for multiple clients.
• Establish a seamless workflow with the Google Cloud Consultant and other teams.

6 Month Goal:

• Deliver high-performing cloud solutions that exceed client expectations.
• Regularly collaborate with the Google Cloud Consultant to align technical solutions with business strategies.
• Strengthen the agency's internal cloud capabilities, tools, and practices.

12 Month Goal:

• Become the go-to expert within the agency for Google Cloud engineering solutions.
• Lead initiatives to explore and implement new Google Cloud features and technologies.
• Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.
