Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. You should be able to deal with complaints and give accurate information. A customer-oriented approach is essential. The goal is to make guests and visitors feel comfortable and valued while on our premises.

  • Deal with guests every day. Customer loyalty begins with good service and friendly demeanour
  • Being calm and direct in a stressful situation and being able to communicate with many different types of people
  • Need to be able to motivate employees, resolve issues and complaints from guests
  • Excellent listening skills are needed, especially with guests. Making sure that guests are happy and that staff is getting what they need to do their job is crucial
  • Working with budgets, planning, creating schedules and supervising operations are all a part of the job
  • Hotels have a lot of moving parts, from guests to maintenance, to events to budgets and scheduling
  • General Manager/ Manager need to keep it all organized
  • Need to be able to think quickly on their feet and make decisions about problems come up
